Ahh The Smell of Lavender, The Carousel Lavender Farm, 12 June 2011
Most of the group (See Photo) Christine, Debi, Beth, Anna, Lee, Ron (not in photo), Mi Suk (She took the group photo) and I arrived around 9 a.m. and were pleasantly greeted by a group of black and white alpacas and a staff member. The alpacas were full of personality and were happy to pose for the LVPC shutterbugs. I think one or two members were trying to figure out a way to get an alpaca home, I was trying to figure out how I could get one of them to haul my camera bag around for the day. The first hour was a free shoot and all of us took advantage of the hour to photograph the lovely farm.

Mayfair 2011 Photo Shoot – Music, Artwork, Crafts, Animals, and Elephant Ears!
It was a warm and humid day at Cedar Beach Park, in Allentown, for the 2011 Mayfair. We started off at the dog obstacle/agility course, which I enjoyed thoroughly. I was able to capture (on film) several of the dogs and their owners in action on the dog obstacle course with a 70 – 200mm lens. I offered up my e-mail address to share the photos with the dog owners while plugging the Lehigh Valley Photo Club.

May 1st 2011 Shoot: Lockridge May Festival
We have been invited to participate in the Lockridge May Festival. This is a wonderful opportunity for our club to gain publicity and have fun at the same time. We have been given space to set up a table to display any pictures taken from this area for sale. All they ask in return is a 10% donation back given back to the ABRP for any picture that is sold. This event will be held rain or shine (we do have a club canopy). If you are interested in participating, please let us know so we have some idea of how many photographers plan to participate.
