May/June 2011 Assignment: Floral Fantasies
Since April showers bring May flowers, our theme for May is “Floral Fanaties”.
While flowers are fun to shoot and in ample supply this time of the year, the
challenge this month is to portray flowers in a “different way”. So get out
there and pan, zoom, creatively light or otherwise shoot a floral related
theme. Let’s see what you have!

April 2011 Assignment: Reflection
April showers bring May flowers. And sometimes we fret that that rain keeps us from shooting pictures. But rain can also bring some great opportunities to shoot reflection photos. It can be challenging to catch the stormy sky or an interesting reflection in a puddle. But puddles aren’t the only place where you can find some great reflections. Reflections can also be found in shiny metal, glass windows, and mirrors.

February 2011 Assignment: Sweetheart
February is a time for remembering our loved ones. And what better way to show our Sweetheart we love them than a sweet treat. So before you gobble down those February goodies, whip out your camera and show us your goodies. Theme appropriate sweet treats can include candy, cookies, cakes and other similar sweets. And note that those sweets do not necessarily need to be in your home. If you are still on your New Year’s diet, feel free to take your camera shopping with you and take only the picture home from the goodie shop. And please remember the contest rules, which include only one picture per member.
January 2011 Assignment: White Out
With all the snow on the ground and more expected, “White-out” seems like an easy theme. After all, there is plenty of snow to go around. Not inclined to go outside, no problem!! Because the object here is to take pictures of something primarily white. So maybe you want to take a picture of a white vase on a white background. Ideas for background material can be found everywhere in your home – a white sheet, a white piece of paper, or maybe a piece of foamboard (available at the dollar store). So go outside and shoot white, or stay inside and shoot white. Let’s see your January “White-out”. Please remember the contest rules, which include only one picture per member.
