November 2010 Assignment: Thanksgiving

Wait! before you go and rush off to plan on taking a picture of your turkey, pilgrims or the like, read this entire description. Our assignment for this month is “Thanksgiving” and the idea is that you should take an artistic picture of the thing you are most thankful for this year. What is it and how can you best and most artistically portray it in a photograph? Read on for the rules of this month’s assignment.

Your shot MUST be taken between November 1 and close of the assignment November 30. Your work must also NOT include any traditional “Thanksgiving” things, like the picture of your family around the Thanksgiving table, your child in a pilgrim costume,etc. Guidelines – your work should be a fresh and original way to look at what you are thankful for. Try to portray it in the most artistic way possible. Now get out there and BE CREATIVE!

Also, please name your image after the theme of what you’re thankful for. For example, chocolate.jpg.
