Renowned sports action photographer, Greg Crisp, will be the guest speaker for the Lehigh Valley Photography Club on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 7PM at the Banana Factory, Bethlehem. His topic will be “Turning Pro”.
Crisp, a photographer for almost 30 years, has career highlights including 8 Wheaties box covers, 13 years with the National Football League as a Travel Team Photographer where he shot 3 Super Bowls and had the NFL shot of the year 6 times. He has also spent 13 years as the Director of Photography at Pocono International Raceway, photographed 13 Daytona 500 races, 6 US Golf Opens, and US Olympic finals.
Recently Crisp won the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) National Sports Photo contest. which is a juried event held by the photo editors of Sports Illustrated. Entrants were permitted to enter 5 photographs in 4 categories. Greg won 3 of them. “Photography is for everyone, I was just one of the lucky ones”, he says.
